This one's about self care when you don't have time AND when you feel guilty for taking it. And when you're sick and can't take a day off. And when you're tired of wondering what people are thinking of you because you're... sick again?....really?
Sometimes the hardest thing you can do is to let yourself be sick. You've got a life to live, deadlines to meet and people to take care of. But in the end, sick happens and I've learned that there is a way you can be sick and get through it without your life falling to pieces.
You're exhausted and burnt out. You need a break. A massage. Hell, you need a coach to get you through this slump, but you just can't right now. I totally get it. But there's a way to beat this 'feet in cement' mentality. Open up.
On those days when you feel like you can't get out of bed, much less tackle your 'to-do' list, it's vital to take a closer look at what's really going on and what you really need to do to show up, give and not kill yourself doing it.
People spend a lot of time telling us to simply be content. And for good reason. We need to learn the art being fully present so we can appreciate where we’re at in life and what we have.
But what if that’s not the whole picture?
You can totally have it. All of it. You can have the life you're dreaming of. But you've got to understand something vital if you're ever going to get it. So many people waste years of their lives wishing and wanting their dream life but miss this very important make-it-or-break-it concept and therefore miss out what what they should have had a long time ago.
